Answers to questions on velocity time graphs
(6 – 0)/(5 – 2) = 2 m/s2, (0 – 6 )/(12 –10) = –3 m/s2
Gradient = vertical increase/horizontal increase. For a velocity–time graph the vertical increase is the increase in velocity, and the horizontal increase is the time taken for this to happen.
The velocity has a positive value when the ball is going down.
The points where the sloping line crosses the time axis are where theball is at the top of its bounce.
The line would be getting steeper.
